MoDOC Responds To Covid Killing Technology Post Via Twitter

Yesterday afternoon (1/22/21) The Missouri Department of Corrections took to Twitter to address our post regarding their "Covid killing technology". Of course, they only chose to answer certain questions. The truth is, most of their facilities that house incarcerated individuals do not have "air handling systems" where the incarcerated reside. It's very misleading of them to tell the public that these air purification systems will be installed at all of their facilities. In one tweet, they state that "some buildings are very old and can't accommodate ionization generators" but that's not the full explanation, either. WERDCC in Vandalia is not "very old" and doesn't have air conditioning. We've included screenshots of our conversation with the DOC. We want truth and transparency from the Missouri Department of Corrections. We'll also be doing some sunshine requests regarding this issue.
